Let's discover.. Sustainability

Hands-on activities designed to inspire and educate students of all ages.

Why is water conservation essential? How does pollution impact our environment and how can renewable energy shape a more sustainable future?

This dynamic, hands-on workshop introduces students to key environmental science concepts through real-world investigation. Students explore the importance of protecting freshwater resources, examine how easily pollution can spread through ecosystems, and develop a deeper understanding of the impact of human activity on the environment.

Through inquiry-based activities students design and test their own water filtration systems, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and improve their solutions. The workshop also introduces renewable energy concepts where students explore how solar power can be harnessed.

A meaningful and engaging learning experience that connects science to real-world sustainability challenges and inspires responsible environmental action.

What students will explore

Fresh Water Sources on Earth
Through an interactive activity, students estimate the proportion of freshwater on Earth and then use measuring tools to quantify how little is actually available for use, reinforcing the importance of water conservation.

Pollution Simulation
Using a hands-on model, students observe how pollutants travel through the environment, impacting rivers and underground water systems.

Water Filtration Challenge
Students are using the design process to build their own filtration systems using different materials, testing and refining their solutions to clean polluted water.

Renewable vs Non-Renewable Energy Exploration
Students learn the difference between energy sources and their impact on the environment, building foundational knowledge of sustainability. Students build simple circuits powered by solar panels, experimenting with sunlight to understand how renewable energy is generated and used.

This workshop combines scientific inquiry, environmental awareness, and hands-on problem solving, making sustainability concepts accessible, engaging, and impactful for students.
